She was born in Thessaloniki and studied French Philology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She completed his postgraduate studies (DEA) in Paris, at the Sorbonne IV University, in modern theatre and modern literature. Then, she wrote a doctoral dissertation (DOCTORAT) at the same University, in modern poetry of the 20th century.
After the end of her studies, from 1992 – 2015 she taught Greek, World and Children’s Literature at the Library Department of the TEI of Thessaloniki. At the same time, she was working in the family business, based in Lakkoma, Halkidiki, as General Manager. In 2015, she took over the helm of the Cultural Center of the Region of Central Macedonia, first as President and CEO and from January 2020 as President and Artistic Director.
She published studies and articles on modern literary movements. She has also curated evenings of poetry and music, “20 years since the death of Odysseus Elytis” with Costas Makedonas in 2016, “Tribute to George Seferis” with Costas Pratsinakis in Tellogleio in 2018, “Elytis meets Elyar” recited by Ioulita Iliopou at the 1st Eptapyrgio Festival.
